Coding of moving images based on the formation of spatial frequency components

Volodymyr Maidaniuk, Volodymyr Mesiura, Artem Stakhov

Image coding based on contour-adaptive two-dimensional analysis and synthesis is considered, in particular, its application to video image coding. The restoration of low-frequency component samples by interpolation and contour prediction methods is proposed, which leads to an increase in the visual quality of the image with the same "detail", as well as a motion detector scheme that provides the possibility of transmitting the high-frequency component of the video image by the interlacing method.
