Information technologies for improving the quality of biomedical images

Sergii Pavlov, Dina Vovkotrub , Rostyslav Dovhaliuk, Al-Zubi Khani

In current publication a review of methods for biomedical image visual quality improvement is presented. Reviewed in detail such spatial domain image processing methods as histogram equalization, γ-correction, unsharp masking, median filtering, adaptive wiener filtering and Pewit, Sobel, Laplas linear filters. Some common noise models are described. Visual estimation of efficiency of previously mentioned methods is carried out
