The analysis of the current state on the application of information technology in the use of land settlements. The main problems encountered in the management of land settlements were identified and features of using GIS, the implementation of which will improve the efficiency of land management in future. The article discusses recent studies that involve the use of information technology in the land use of settlements in our country, revealed many flaws in the process of their implementation and application due to lack of a unified concept, general development and use of information technology in land management of settlements , which currently leads to many negative consequences
