ECG signal processing using Legandr polynomas

Anatoly Kulyk

The prevalence of cardiovascular diseases is constantly increasing, which calls for the development of more and more effective modern methods for their diagnosis and treatment. The primary diagnosis is based on recording the electrocardiogram, after which the doctor uses additional data from cardiological indicators obtained using other methods of research. The development of computer technologies, modern methods of processing data and clinical problems led to the development and use of processor tools in everyday practice. This allowed to improve the quality of electrocardiogram processing and to provide a quantitative assessment of ECG changes. However, this raises the need to improve accuracy and sensitivity. A promising method for solving these problems is spectral analysis using modern information technologies. In modern technologies, little attention has been paid to justifying the selection of the components of the computer ECG recording system. When ECG data is processed, insufficient attention is paid to filtering the recorded data, which includes high-frequency noise. The structure of the device allowing to register the ECG in the program polling mode is proposed. A mathematical apparatus is proposed for calculating the parameters of the components of a computer system, as well as the minimum number of registered values. An algorithm for filtering the high-frequency components using the Legendre polynomial orthogonal functions is proposed on the basis of the approximation algorithm
