Multi-criteria classification of image segments

The generalized mathematical model of image segment classification according to the methods of compression has been developed. The existing popular methods of compression have been analyzed and those methods that cover most of the types of images have been selected. The criteria of segments referring to the compression methods by analyzing the characteristics of these methods in order to increase the compression ratio of the original image have been developed. The possibility of establishing a threshold for assessing compliance with a given criterion has been provided. The algorithm of image compression considering the multicriterion classification of their segments has been proposed. It was necessary to use parallel computations in order to improve the performance of the method
